BAPTISM

Baptism is the ritual that where new members are received into the Church. It is the first of the seven sacraments, and a celebration common to all Christian traditions.

Baptism is the first sacrament of initiation. Through Baptism Christians are washed in the waters of rebirth and given a share in God’s own life. Reborn in Christ and supported by the community of faith, all the baptised are offered the promise of eternal life.

Baptism is a happy event for our Parish - and a time to ponder God’s loving gifts in our lives. For your child to be baptised in the Catholic faith one Parent and one Godparent must be Catholic and  you will have completed a baptism preparation program.

Baptisms are held in our Parish on most Sunday's and you will be able to book your child's baptism once you have completed a baptismal preparation program.

Our Baptismal Preparation Programs run February to December on the second Tuesday of the month at 7pm in the Callinan Centre by Appointment only.

(Please note sessions will not run if no bookings have been received)
